ORDER

The petitioner seeks issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to return the settlement deed dated 07.07.2022, registered and kept as pending Document No.P69/2024 after numbering the same and filing it in Book I within the stipulated time.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, Mr.N.Ramesh Arumugam, learned Government Advocate states that he has been instructed by the second respondent by a letter dated 19.02.2025 that the document has been assigned as Document No.731/2025 and the same has been returned on 19.02.2025.

3.The said submission is recorded. As the cause of action has vanished, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
