O R D E R

The prayer sought for in this writ petition is for a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider and pass orders on the basis of the petitioner's representations dated 12.04.2016 and 06.04.2017 for notional promotion and retirement benefits. 2.Heard Mr.M.Karunanithi, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr. S.M.S.Johny Basha, learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents.

3.Since the very prayer sought for in this writ petition is innocuous in nature as the petitioner seeks for a writ of mandamus to consider the representations submitted by him to the respondents and pass orders thereon on merits, with the consent of both sides, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

4.In the result, there shall be a direction to the respondents to consider the representations given by the petitioner dated 12.04.2016 and 06.04.2017 for consideration of his request for notional promotion and for consequential retirement benefits on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders thereon, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With this direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
