ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to conduct survey and fix the four boundaries of the land in Survey No.2232/24 in an extent of 4.96 Cents, situated at Narayanathevanpatti, Uthamapalayam Taluk, Theni District, based on the petitioner's online application dated 25.01.2026, within the time to be stipulated by this Court

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. Since no adverse orders are going to be passed against the respondents 4 to 6, notice to the respondents 4 to 6 are hereby dispensed with.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the absolute owner of the subject property. The petitioner's grandfather submitted an application dated 25.01.2026 requesting survey and fixation of the boundaries of the said property. Despite the same, the respondents 1 and 2 have failed to take any action, causing undue delay and prejudice to the petitioner. The petitioner, therefore, seeks a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to conduct the survey and fix the boundaries, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that proper steps would be taken to survey and demarcate the land in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.

Recording the aforesaid submission, this Court directs the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioner's application dated 25.01.2026 and demarcate the subject property, after considering the claims of the petitioner, the respondents 4 to 6 and any other rival parties, if any, and to pass orders in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to work out their remedies before the Civil Court.

7. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
