ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to call for records relating to the FIR in Crime No.15 of 2013 on the file of the Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Tuticorin and quash the same.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the first respondent and the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent.

3. The petitioners are arrayed as accused in Crime No.15 of 2013 for the alleged offences under Sections 120(b) and 420 of the

Indian Penal Code and seeking to quash the said proceedings, the present petition has been filed.

4. When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is represented by both parties that the matter has been settled before the Mediation and Conciliation Centre. The said Mediation report is produced before this Court and it is also signed by both the parties and counsels, in which, it is stated that there is no necessary to proceed further in future. The said Mediation report is taken on record.

5. In view of the said Mediation report, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose will be served by proceedings further in this matter.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the proceedings in Crime No.15 of 2013 on the file of the first respondent is quashed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
