O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned I Additional District and Sessions Judge, Madurai to Expedite the trial and dispose the case in S.C.No.412 of 2022. 2.According to the petitioner, he is the sixth accused in the case in S.C.No. 412 of 2022, for the offences under Section 302, 148, 120(B), 341, 149 and 34 of IPC. The FIR has been registered in the year 2022 and thereafter, the sessions case has been taken on file in the same year, but for the past three years, trial has not been commenced. Therefore, this petition has been filed.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would submit that the case is pending for appearance of the accused and the respondent police will co-operate for speedy disposal of the case by producing witnesses within the time stipulated by the trial Court.

4.Considering the nature of offences and the long pendency of the

case, the learned I Additional District Sessions Judge, Madurai, is directed to expedite the trial in S.C.No.412 of 2022 and dispose of the same as early as possible without granting any long adjournments beyond fifteen days. 5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
