Crime No.3 of 2017 : Respondent PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code, to direct the respondent police to complete the investigation in respect of Crime No.3 of 2017 dated 03.02.2017 and file final report before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Aruppukottai, within the stipulated time, that may be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

O R D E R
This petition is filed for issuing a direction to the respondent Police to complete the investigation in respect of Crime No.3 of 2017 and to file a final report before the the learned Judicial Magistrate, Aruppukottai, within the stipulated time.
2. It is stated that the respondent Police has registered a case in Crime No.3 of 2017 for the offences under Sections 498(A) of IPC and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner's wife.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that the complaint was given only with an intention to harass the petitioner. Due to matrimonial dispute between the de facto complainant and the first accused in the criminal case, who is the husband of the de facto complainant it is stated that a false case has been foisted against the in laws of the de facto complainant. He would further state that the petitioner has not involved in any offence.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), however, submitted that the investigation is almost over and that the Final Report will be filed within a period of three months.
5. Hence, the Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file a Final Report in Crime No.3 of 2017, before the jurisdictional Magistrate, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
