Heard both sides.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the extent of the petition mentioned land reflected in the revenue record is not in consonance with his title document. The petitioner has erroneously given a representation dated 23.01.2024 to the Additional Chief Secretary. Such representation ought not to be sent. The representation must be sent only to the authority who is competent to pass order in the matter. In this case, it is only the Tahsildar, Manapparai Taluk who can look into the petitioner's grievance. Only a copy was marked to the Tahsildar. The Tahsildar safely ignore such letters.

That apart, as rightly pointed out by the learned Additional Government Pleader, it is not necessary that the revenue record should conform to the description and the extent mentioned in the title document. Patta will reflect the ground reality. It is also not known if the description and the extent of the land mentioned in the title deed is correct and accurate. This is a matter for enquiry. Therefore, the petitioner is at liberty to give proper application addressed to the Tahsildar, Manapparai. On receipt thereof, the Tahsildar, Manapparai 2/4

3 W.P.(MD)NO.2517 OF 2024 shall issue notice to the concerned and interested parties. Based on the outcome of the enquiry, appropriate order shall be passed on merits and in accordance with law. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
