PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st to 5th respondents to provide a detailed information and data as requested in representation dated 27.10.2018 to understand the complaints on agreed actions to the 8th respondent / The Chairman National Commissioner for Scheduled Tribes, in the meeting held at 2 PM on 28.11.2017, before current year promotional exercise, within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court. For Petitioner : Mr.C.Masilamani For Respondent : Mr.J.Prabhu Rajadurai.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent Nos.1 to 5, to provide a detailed information and data as requested in representation dated 27.10.2018 within the time stipulated time as fixed by this Court. 2.Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel, who takes notice for the respondent Nos. 1 to 4. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner, being the General Secretary of All India SC/ST General Insurance Employees Welfare Association, sent a representation dated 27.10.2018 to the respondents, requesting to provide him with certain data. However, the said representation has not been considered by the respondents so far. Hence, the writ petition is filed with the above prayer.

4.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent Nos. 1 to 4, on instructions, submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered on merits and appropriate orders would be passed.

5.Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.10.2018 and pass necessary orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.The writ petition is disposed of, on the above terms. No costs.
