O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondent to pay a sum of Rs.9,00,000/- together with interest towards the bill amount in respect of the work order in Ref.No.Ma.Po.4/M.No.249/2016-2017 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2.According to the petitioner, in respect of the work order, dated 27.07.2016, the respondent has not paid the petitioner for the bills raised by him. According to him, a sum of Rs.9,00,000/- together with interest is due and payable by the respondent to the petitioner under the said work order. The petitioner has also given a representation on 02.02.2022 requesting the respondent to pay a sum of Rs.9,00,000/- together with interest. Since the said representation has not been considered, he has filed this Writ Petition.

3.Heard Mr.N.Jeyaram Sidharth, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Vinayak, learned Standing Counsel, who takes notice on behalf of the respondent.

4.The learned Standing Counsel for the respondent, on instructions, would submit that the respondent is willing to consider the petitioner's representation on merits and in accordance with law. The said statement is recorded. 5.Accordingly, this Court directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 02.02.2022 seeking for payment of a sum of Rs.9,00,000/- together with interest towards the bill amount under the work order, dated 27.07.2016 issued in favour of the petitioner and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner. The question of limitation can also be taken into consideration by the respondent while passing final orders. 6.With the aforesaid directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
