ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 26.08.2018 within a time frame fixed by this Court. 2.Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. By Consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3.The grievance of the petitioner is that he was sanctioned one advance increment on completion of the Account Test part - I, on 31.12.2013. Without putting him on notice, on 29.1.2018, the said advance increment was cancelled and recovery of the paid amount was also ordered by the 2nd respondent. Aggrieved against such cancellation and recovery, the petitioner has filed an appeal before the 1st respondent, which is kept pending without consideration from 26.08.2018. Hence, seeking appropriate direction to the 1st respondent, the petitioner is before this Court. 4.The learned Government Advocate submitted that the appeal filed by the petitioner would be considered on merits and appropriate orders would be passed by the 1st respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5.Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for by the petitioner in this writ petition, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 26.08.2018, on merits and in accordance with law and pass necessary orders, after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
