ORDER

The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submitted that the Petitioner is the de-facto Complainant and she had filed this petition seeking direction against the Respondent Police to complete the investigation and file the final report in Crime No.100 of 2023 pending on the file of the Respondent Police.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) on instructions from the Respondent Police submitted that the case had been transferred to District Crime Branch, Thiruchendur, by the proceedings of the Superintendent of Police, Thoothukudi, in C.No.C1/847/047897/2023, since the subject matter of the case involves Rs.36,00,000/- (Rupees Thirty Six Lakh only). Apart from the complaint, there are 21 other victims in the crime. The Petitioner herein had paid 40 sovereigns of Gold.

3. Recording the submissions of the learned Counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), the District Crime Branch, Thoothukudi, is directed to complete the investigation and lay the final report before the Court concerned within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order or from 2/4

the date of uploading the order on the website of this Court..

4. With the above said direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
