This writ petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent to instruct the 2nd respondent to accord permission and police protection to the cultural program (Adal Padal) to be conducted at the Arulmigu Shri Muthalamman and Shri Mariamman Temple festival on 07.04.2018 and 09.04.2018, based on the petitioner's representation dated 04.04.2018 submitted before the 2nd respondent. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
3.It is seen from the records that the programme is scheduled to be held on 09.04.2018 (today) itself, therefore, this Court cannot give any direction as sought for in the petition. It is open to the petitioner to approach the respondents herein and thereafter, the respondents shall consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.04.2018 and pass appropriate orders in the light of the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the case of Church of God https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
