ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

2. The relief sought for cannot be granted. The petitioner had executed the petition mentioned document in the year 2005. The petitioner claims that a survey number was erroneously included in the schedule. The petitioner would allege that on the strength of the illegally included survey number in the schedule, the purchaser is attempting to grab public property. The petitioner therefore wants the District Registrar to cancel the said document. The document executed in the year 2005 cannot be cancelled at the instance of the petitioner in the year 2023. The petitioner will have to avail his remedy elsewhere.

3. Granting such liberty and holding that the District Registrar will have the power to grant relief sought for, the writ petition is dismissed. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. No costs. 27.02.2023 Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes/ No rmi 2/4
