Respondents Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to grant minimum pension to petitioner husband in the post of Village Administrative Officer in the light of order passed by this Court made in W.P.(MD) No.9118/2015 dated 08.06.2015 by considering the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 10.03.2018 within the time stipulated by this Court. O R D E R

The prayer sought for in this Writ Petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to grant minimum pension to petitioner husband in the post of Village Administrative Officer in the light of order passed by this Court made in W.P.(MD) No.9118/2015 dated 08.06.2015 by considering the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 10.03.2018 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard Mr.C.Gangai Amaran, the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr..D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that for seeking pension for the petitioner's husband who worked as Village Administrative Officer and retired and died thereafter, the petitioner had given so many representations from the year 2017 and last such representation was given on 10.03.2018. In spite of the repeated requests, it was not considered by the respondents. Therefore, they approached this court. Hence, the learned counsel submits that if a direction is given to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner and to pass orders thereon, on merits within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court, the petitioner would be satisfied.

4.I have heard Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondent in this regard.

5.In view of the said submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner as the prayer sought herein is only innocuous in nature, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage, with the consent of both sides, with the following direction: 6.The representations of the petitioner dated 23.12.2017 as well as 10.03.2018 shall be considered by the respondents and pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7.With this direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
