ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking direction to the Judicial Magistrate No.1, 1/4

Kuzhithurai to dispose of the case in S.T.C.No.1575 of 2022 within a period of two months.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that on the basis of the complaint given by one Manchana Devi, FIR came to be registered in Crime No.448 of 2019 on 06.11.2019 and the respondent police, after completing the investigation, has laid the final report on 20.11.2019 and the case was taken on file in S.T.C.No.1575 of 2022 and is pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Kuzhithurai.

3. The main grievance of the petitioner is that he is a Doctor by profession and his passport was impounded by the concerned authorities, since the case is pending against him. On that ground, this petition has been filed.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that the case stands posted for examination of P.W.1 to P.W.3 on 16.03.2023.

In view of the above said grievance expressed by the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Kuzhithurai to complete the trial and dispose of the case in S.T.C.No. 1575 of 2022 within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
