Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to dispose of the representation dated 9.11.2018 registered on 15.11.2018 addressed to the respondent by the petitioner by sanctioning special monthly pension and lump sum payment for the services rendered by him as a Noon Meal Organiser during the period commencing from 31.01.1983 to 07.08.2003 in the light of G.O.Ms.No.314 Finance (Pay Cell) Department, dated 25.10.2017 and G.O.Ms.No.348, Finance (Pay Cell) Department, dated 28-11-2018 within a time frame that this Court may be pleased to fix in the circumstances of the case.

ORDER

The Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondent to dispose of the representation, dated 09.11.2018 registered on 15.11.2018, addressed to the respondent by the petitioner, by sanctioning special monthly pension and lump sum payment for the services rendered by him as a Noon Meal Organiser during the period commencing from 31.01.1983 to 07.08.2003 in the light of G.O.Ms.No.314 Finance (Pay Cell) Department, dated 25.10.2017 and G.O.Ms.No.348, Finance (Pay Cell) Department, dated 28-11-2018, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondent. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. Though the writ petition is filed seeking a larger relief, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner confines the same to the extent that the representation of the petitioner may be directed to be considered by the respondent within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has no serious objection in granting such relief to the petitioner.

5. Considering the nature of the relief now sought for by the petitioner, which has not been objected by the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 09.11.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
