ORDER

The petitioner is seeking permission and adequate police protection for conducting protest meeting at Karur Union Office in Karur District scheduled to be held on 13.02.2026 at 10.00 a.m, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 05.02.2026.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) vehemently objected stating that the said place is not earmarked for conducting 'Dharna'.

3. But the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the issue is pertaining to the Union Office alone. Therefore, he is seeking the said place.

4.Therefore the respondent police is directed to grant permission to conduct 'Dharna' at Karur Union Office on 13.02.2026, from 10.00 a.m, to 12.00 noon, with 100 persons alone and all other applicable conditions. The petitioner is strictly directed to 2/4

give ID cards for those who are attending the 'Dharna'.

5. With these directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
