O R D E R

The petitioner, who is one of the accused in CC No.187 of 2014, pending on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court No.VI, Trichy has approached this Court, for speedy disposal of the above case. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the case has been registered in the year 2006, the final report has been filed in the year 2011 and the same has been taken on file in CC No.187 of 2014. Since a Non Bailable Warrant is pending as against the other accused in CC No.187 of 2014, the trial could not be proceeded further, even though the petitioner is appearing before the trial Court regularly.

3.It is very unfortunate that the accused has approached this Court, seeking a speedy disposal of the case, which is pending from the year 2014. Pendency of a case for the past 10 years would certainly affect the esteem of the Judiciary. If any one of the accused has not appeared and the Non Bailable Warrant issued as against him is pending for these long years, the learned Magistrate ought to have split up the 2/5

case for the available accused and proceeded with the trial and concluded the trial by this time. However, in the present case, it was not done so. 4.In view of the above, the learned Judicial Magistrate No.VI, Trichy is directed to conclude the trial CC.No.187 of 2014, by splitting up the case for the available accused and conclude the same, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
