Respondent/Complainant PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to direct the first respondent to appoint a competent Police Officer in the rank of Deputy superintendent of Police to conduct the investigation in Crime No.17 of 2014 pending on the file of the third respondent herein and to file a final report within the time stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition is filed for a direction to the first respondent to appoint a competent Police Officer in the rank of Deputy superintendent of Police to conduct the investigation in Crime No.17 of 2014 pending on the file of the third respondent and to file a final report.

2. Though the case has been registered in Crime No.17 of 2014 under Section 174 of Cr.P.C., it appears that no further progress has been made.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that it is a fit case for transfer, whereas the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submitted that the investigation will be completed within a period of three months.

4. Considering the submissions made, this Court is inclined to direct the second respondent to take up the investigation and complete the same within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
