O R D E R

This Criminal Original petition is filed for a direction to the respondent herein/Inspector of Police, City Crime Branch, Trichy City, to file final report in Crime No.4 of 2013 within a stipulated period of time.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner states that a case was registered in Crime No.4 of 2013 for the offences under Sections 417, 420, 465, 468, 471 I.P.C., r/w 120(b) I.P.C., dated 14.02.2013. It is stated that a case was registered at the instance of the petitioner, for serious offences relating to forgery and cheating. It is further stated that though the case was registered in the year 2013, there was no progress and that therefore, the petitioner is constrained to file this petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor however on instructions submitted that the investigation is almost over and that final report will be filed within a short period of three months.

5. Recording the said submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the Criminal Original petition is allowed and the respondent herein is directed to file final report in Crime No.4 of 2013 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
