O R D E R

This Criminal Original petition is filed for issuing a direction to the respondent police to afford sufficient police protection to the petitioner, his wife and family members, on the basis of his representation, dated 30.08.2017.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that earlier he filed a complaint as against one Micheal Raj for an offence under Sections 406 and 420 of I.P.C. on 02.06.2017 and that the said case was regarding the commission of offence of cheating the petitioner to the tune of Rs.79,12,157/-. It is further stated that the said Micheal Raj was arrested and remanded under judicial custody. It https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

is also stated that at the intervention of the petitioner, his bail application was dismissed by the lower Court. In these circumstances, the petitioner states that he is under threat by the said Micheal Raj and therefore, he has given a representation on 30.08.2017 before the respondent Police.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation filed by the petitioner is under consideration and that the respondents will provide necessary police protection, if the apprehension of the petitioner is proved and request of the petitioner is genuine.

4. Recording the said undertaking, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
