ORDER

Seeking a direction to the respondent to provide all the monetary and pensionary benefits due to the petitioner's husband to the petitioner, based on her representation, dated 23.03.2019, the present writ petition came to be filed.

2. Mr.P.Balasubramanian, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondent. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. According to the petitioner, her husband was appointed as a technical staff in the respondent department on 21.05.1979 and he died on 18.02.2014. Hence, the petitioner requested the respondent to disburse the monetary and pensionary benefits due to her husband. In this regard, she submitted a representation dated 23.03.2019 to the respondent and the same is pending without any action. Hence, this writ petition.

4. On the other hand, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent, on instructions, submitted that there are some rival claims with regard to the request of the petitioner. However, he submitted that the respondent would consider the representation of the petitioner and pass orders, on merits. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 23.03.2019 on merits and in accordance with law, and pass necessary orders, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

6. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
