COMMON PRAYER: Writ Petitions are filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to fix wages of the petitioners at Rs.19,100/- and Rs.9,450/- respectively as on 09.02.2009 to appropriately revise the same in terms of the order of punishment dated 06.02.2009 passed by the 3rd respondent till 31.05.2017 and 30.04.2017 respectively and to pay the difference in wages from 09.02.2009 till 31.05.2017 in WP(MD).No.11035 of 2019 and to further direct the respondents to count the period from 05.05.2001 to 08.02.2009 and 17.05.2001 to 09.02.2009 respectively for the purpose of terminal and pensionary benefits and consequently to revise pension of the petitioner and to pay arrears of pension. For Petitioner : Mr.D. Sivaraman in both W.Ps.

For Respondents : Mr.S. Sethuraman in both W.Ps. COMMON ORDER These writ petitions have been filed by the petitioners seeking a direction to the respondents for revision of wages with effect from 09.02.2009 as per the orders passed by the third respondent dated 06.02.2009 and counting the period from 05.05.2001 to 08.02.2009 and 17.05.2001 to 09.02.2009 respectively for the purpose of terminal and pensionary benefits and for other reliefs. 2.Mr.S.Sethuraman, learned Standing Counsel, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petitions are taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.Though these writ petitions have been filed for a larger relief, the learned counsel for the petitioners restricted the same to the extent of seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the representations of the petitioners, dated 20.03.2019, for which, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents has no serious objection.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and having regard to the submissions now made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioners, dated 20.03.2019 and pass necessary orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioners.

5.With the above direction, these writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
