PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission and provide adequate police protection for conducting the peaceful Hunger Strike (Fasting) on 03.03.2026 (Tuesday) from 09.00 am to 05.00 pm, at Kariapatti Bus Stand, by considering the petitioner representation dated 11.02.2026. ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking a mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission and provide adequate police protection for conducting the peaceful Hunger Strike (Fasting) on 03.03.2026 (Tuesday) from 09.00 am to 05.00 pm, at Kariapatti Bus Stand, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 11.02.2026.

2. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner representation was received by the respondents who in turn, directed the petitioner to furnish the particulars. Therefore, the petitioner has also submitted a reply to the said communication on the same day(11.02.2026). The peaceful hunger strike(fasting) is scheduled on 03.03.2026 from 09.00 am to 05.00 pm, at Kariapatti Bus Stand.

3. In view of the above, the respondents are directed to grant permission and provide adequate police protection for conducting the peaceful Hunger Strike (Fasting) on 03.03.2026 (Tuesday) from 09.00 am to 05.00 pm, at 2/4

Kariapatti Bus Stand, Virudhunagar District, by considering the petitioner representation dated 11.02.2026. However, no provocative slogans can be uttered and no other communal leaders can be permitted.
