ORDER
This writ petition has been filed, seeking to direct the respondents to give notional promotion and retirement benefits in the light of G.O.Ms.No.844 Home Department dated 03.06.1997 and G.O.Ms.No.15 Home Department dated 07.01.2010, based on the petitioner's representation, dated 30.12.2015. 2.Mr.C.Mari Chellaiah Prabhu, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that seeking notional promotion and retirement benefits, in the light of G.O.Ms.No.844 Home Department dated 03.06.1997 and G.O.Ms.No.15 Home Department dated 07.01.2010, the petitioner made a representation https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
dated 30.12.2015 to the respondents. However, the said representation has not been considered by the respondents, till date. Hence, this writ petition.
4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents fairly submitted that the respondents would consider the representation of the petitioners and pass orders, on merits, within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court. 5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 30.12.2015, based on the relevant Government Orders passed by them, and pass necessary orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. 6.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
