This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to grant permission and protection for cultural event namely Adalpadal scheduled to be held on 08.04.2018 at night in connection with "Poochorithal Vizha" in Poothakudi Arulmigu Sri Thana Valarntha Muthumarimman Kovil at Poo.Kallupatti Village, Viralimalai Taluk, Pudukkottai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 15.03.2018.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent made objections for conducting such cultural events due to the programme has been conducted in nearby temple. 4.Considering the above objection made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the petitioner is directed to file a fresh representation to the respondent seeking permission to conduct the events. On filing such representation, the respondent is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

directed to consider the same and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law on the same date in the light of the order passed by this Court in WP(MD)No.13517 of 2017 dated 24.07.2017 and also in the light of the decision rendered by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in 2001 1 L.W. (Crl.) 233 [Church of God (Full Gospel) in India Vs. K.K.R.Majestic Colony Welfare Association and others], appropriate orders will be passed on the representation of the petitioner.

6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
