Respondents PRAYER:- Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 to 4 herein to forthwith give adequate police protection to the life and properties of the petitioner, her daughter Smt.Devi, and her children residing at 24/16 and consequently forbear the respondents 5 to 7 herein from illegally and unlawfully collecting the rents from the tenants of properties of the petitioner in Door Nos.9, 10, 11-A, 12, 13 and 14 in Ashokar Road, Market Street, Sivagangai and 8 portion of houses in Sivagangai Town.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 4 herein to forthwith give adequate police protection to the life and properties of the petitioner, her daughter Smt.Devi, and her children residing at 24/16 and consequently forbear the respondents 5 to 7 herein from illegally and unlawfully collecting rents from https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the tenants of properties of the petitioner in Door Nos.9, 10, 11-A, 12, 13 and 14 in Ashokar Road, Market Street, Sivagangai and 8 portion of houses in Sivagangai Town.

2. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has moved the Revenue Divisional Officer and obtained an order for maintenance under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007. Now she complains that she faces threat to her life from her children.

4. In such circumstances, the petitioner is now directed to give a fresh representation to the respondent police with all necessary details, upon receiving which, the respondent police shall cause such necessary enquiry into the allegations of the petitioner to be made in the representation to be given and in the course of enquiry, if any material is required by the second respondent to take decision on the petitioner's representation to be given, the same may be conveyed to the petitioner.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
