This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to grant Police Protection in the event of 'Panguni Pongal Festival' to be conducted the temple in the name of Arul Migu Sri Magaparameshwari Mariamman Temple, Mamsapuram, Srivilliputhur Taluk, Virudhunagar District from 06.04.2018 to 11.01.2018 at about 9 p.m., to till the end of programs for conducting Pattimandram, Pattumandram, Innisai Katcheri and Gramiya Cultural Programs in the above respective dates and schedules fixed in the Invitation by considering the petitioner's representation dated 02.04.2018. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.According to the petitioner, the petitioner has made a representation on 02.04.2018 with the aforesaid prayer to conduct the festival for a period of six days. But, now the petitioner has restricted his prayer by stating that it is suffice, if the permission is granted to conduct the festival for a period of four days.

4.Considering the above submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the petitioner to submit a fresh representation to the respondent and on receipt of such representation, the respondent is directed to consider the same and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law in the light of the order passed by this Court in W.P.(MD)No. 13517 of 2017 dated 24.07.2017.

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
