ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the respondents proceedings in Na.Ka.No.03/CHA.KA/2026 dated 10.02.2026 and quash the same direct the 3rd respondent to grant permission and provide necessary police protection to conduct the Kabadi Competition on 14.02.2026 and 15.02.2026 starting from 08.00 p.m., in front of the Murugan Temple, Agilandapuram, Trichy, in the light of the petitioner's representation dated 06.02.2026.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has submitted a representation seeking permission to conduct a kabaddi tournament and the same was rejected through the impugned order stating that Section 30(2) of the Police Act is in force and citing law and order issues.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is of the considered opinion that this Court is inclined to quash the impugned rejection order issued by the third respondent dated 10.02.2026. 2/5

4. Accordingly, the impugned order dated 10.02.2026 is hereby quashed. The petitioner is permitted to conduct the Kabadi Competition on 14.02.2026 and 15.02.2026 starting from 04.00 a.m., to 12.00 noon , in front of the Murugan Temple, Agilandapuram, Trichy, The 3rd respondent is directed to grant permission with regular condition and provide necessary police protection for conducting Kabadi competition.

5. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
