PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider the petition dated 10.01.2026 made by the petitioner and issue appropriate orders in accordance with law for grant of ordinary leave for a period of 40 days without escort.

[Order of the Court was made by G.K.ILANTHIRAIYAN, J.] The prayer in the Writ Petition is to direct the first respondent to consider the petition dated 10.01.2026 made by the petitioner and issue appropriate orders in accordance with law for grant of ordinary leave for a period of 40 days without escort.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.
3. Pending Writ petition the representation of the petitioner was considered and 28 days ordinary leave was granted to the convict by an order dated 15.02.2026 with escorts.
