ORDER
This petition has been filed seeking a direction, directing the 1st respondent to transfer the investigation in Crime No.446 of 2024 from the 2nd respondent to the 3rd respondent herein within stipulated time fixed by this Court.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is the defacto complainant and at his instance, Crime No.446 of 2024 was registered for the offence under Section 406, 466, 471 & 420 of IPC, with respect to the cheating. However, even after the registration of the FIR, there has been no progress in the investigation. Hence, he sought the indulgence of this Court.
3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent police fairly conceded that the investigation is still pending. 2/4
4. Heard both sides and carefully perused the materials available on record in this regard.
5. In view of the above submission, the second respondent police is directed to proceed with the investigation as expeditiously as possible and conclude the same within the period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The first respondent is directed to monitor the investigation and the second respondent is directed to appraise the progress of the investigation to the first respondent every Friday.
6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
