PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to mutate the Revenue Records stands in the name of Pattanai Kovil - Kirubhakaran - instead of Pattanai Kovil - Rajaram Pertaining to Arumighu Pattanisamy Temple comprised in Survey No. 674/7 situated at Mavadi Village, Manoor Taluk, Tirunelveli District, on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 28.12.2023.

ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to mutate the Revenue Records stands in the name of Pattanai Kovil - Kirubhakaran - instead of Pattanai Kovil - Rajaram Pertaining to Arumighu Pattanisamy Temple comprised in Survey No. 674/7 situated at Mavadi Village, Manoor Taluk, Tirunelveli District, on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 28.12.2023.

2. In the said representation, the petitioner seek to change the name recorded in the Revenue Records from Pattanai Kovil - Rajaram to Pattanai Kovil - Kirubhakaran.

Pending writ petition, the respondents have already considered the petitioner's representation dated 28.12.2023 and passed an order in Letter No.O.Mu.No.A1/17/2023 dated 22.01.2024, stating that the petitioner's claim cannot be considered since the petitioner is acting as hereditary trustee and by changing the revenue records, he is trying to take control of the temple Management and temple land. Hence, the same cannot be considered.

4. In view of the above, the present writ petition cannot be entertained since the official respondents have already considered the petitioner's representation and passed an order.

5. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. The petitioner is at liberty to challenge the letter dated 22.01.2024 . There shall be no order as to costs.
