ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to pay the compensation to the petitioner and other co-owners in S.F.No.98/12 in Patta No.334, situated at Kothapuli Village, Aathoor Taluk, Dindigul District, sum of Rs.84,00,000/- by conducting enquiry based upon the representation given by the petitioner dated 02.02.2026, within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. Since no adverse orders are going to be passed against the fourth respondent, notice to the fourth respondent is hereby dispensed with.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner and other co-owners are entitled to compensation for the acquisition of S.F.No.98/12

in Patta No.334, Kothapuli Village, Aathoor Taluk, Dindigul District. The said property, which is part of the petitioner's ancestral joint family property, was acquired by the authorities in the year 1981 for the purpose of a waterbody.

5. It is submitted that the authorities have sanctioned a sum of Rs.84,00,000/- as compensation. However, without properly perusing the revenue records in respect of S.F.No.98/12, which stands in the name of the petitioner's father, the respondents are attempting to sanction the compensation in favour of the fourth respondent. Hence, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 02.02.2026, requesting the competent authorities to consider and sanction the compensation correctly. Despite receipt of the representation, no action has been taken so far. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition for the relief stated supra.

6. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the petitioner's representation will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.02.2026, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law after providing reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, the fourth respondent and any other persons, who may be affected by such decision, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
