The petitioner and the respondent No.2 are relatives. The petitioner has been arrayed as an accused for the alleged offences under Sections 8 and 12 of the protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 r/w Section 506(ii) IPC in Crim No.185 of 2013.

2. When the matter is taken up today for hearing, both the petitioner and the respondent No.2 and her father are present before this Court. A memo has been signed by both the parties, in which, it is stated by the father of the respondent No.2, who is representing her, that the complaint need not be persuaded any further.

3. This Court has also perused the complaint. It appears that the petitioner tried to misbehave with the respondent No.2 in his anxiety to get marry to her. This Court also feels that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the complaint pending. Accordingly, this petition stands allowed and the proceeding pending Crime No.185 of 2013 stands quashed.
