ORDER

Seeking to direct the first respondent to transfer the investigation in Crime No.364 of 2025, dated 30.12.2025 on the file of the second respondent herein to any other competent investigating officer, this criminal original petition is filed.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is the defacto complainant and she lodged a complaint with the 2nd respondent Police on 24.12.2025 alleging that the accused threatened the petitioner's son, holding a scythe in his hand and warned him not to defecate in the accused's property. Based on the said complaint, an FIR in Crime No. 364 of 2025 was registered by the 2nd respondent police. However, there is no progress in the investigation. Hence, this petition.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), on instructions, submitted that the enquiry is in progress and the enquiry would reveal that the petitioner and the accused person are relatives and there is a land dispute pending between them.

4. Heard the learned counsels on either side and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the above, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to conclude the investigation as expeditiously as possible within a period of one (1) month from the date of receipt of copy of this order and apprise the 1st respondent the progress of the investigation every Friday. Further the the 1st respondent is directed to monitor the investigation conducted by the 2nd respondent.

6. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
