2. The petitioner is resident of Narasingam Village. He alleges that the petition-mentioned water body in survey No.153/1 is sought to be tinkered with by the authorities.

3. Ms.K.Saraswathi, Block Development Officer, Madurai East is present in person. She assures before the Court that only a paver block road having width of 12 feet is being laid on the bund of the water body and that as a result, neither the storage capacity of the water body nor its extent will be affected in any manner.
