This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to grant permission and protection for conducting Kabadi Tournament scheduled to be conducted from 07.04.2018 at about 06.00 p.m. to 08.04.2018 11.30 p.m day and night matches at Sports Ground at Kamaraja Poonga Thidal, Krishnapuram, Rajapalayam Taluk, Virudhunagar District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 02.04.2018.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.According to the petitioner, he made a representation dated 02.04.2018 to the respondents to grant permission and protection for conducting Kabadi tournament at Sports Ground at Kamaraja Poonga Thidal, Krishnapuram, Rajapalayam Taluk, Virudhunagar District. As no order has been passed by the third respondent in the said representation, the petitioner has filed this writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that if the said representation is still pending with the third respondent, the same shall be considered on merits and in accordance with law.

5.Considering the submission made by both sides, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.04.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before 07.04.2018.

6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
