ORDER

This Contempt Petition has been filed seeking orders to punish the contemnor/ respondent for his willful and deliberate disobedience of the order of this Court passed in W.P(MD)No.24257 of 2024, dated 17.10.2024. 1/4

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today (i.e., 07.03.2025), the respondent appeared in person.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) would submit that the respondent/contemnor joined duty on 31.01.2025 and she issued notice to the parties as directed by this Court and conducted enquiry and after getting opinion from the Public Prosecutor, has filed the final report closing the complaint as the matter is civil in nature and he has also produced the copy of the final report.

4.Even as per the ubmission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), the Inspector of Police, who was in charge when the order came to be passed, has not taken any action and only after issuance of contempt notice and filing of the present petition, the present respondent has proceeded to take action. The Superintendent of Police, Sivagangai District is directed to take necessary action against the Inspector of Police, who received the earlier order of this Court and submit a report before this Court. 2/4
