Heard the learned counsel on either side. By consent of both the parties, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.

2.The petitioner seeks issuance of Passport. It appears that a criminal case is pending against the petitioner on the file of the second respondent Police. But, it is seen that the criminal case is only at the First Information Report stage. The Pendency of a criminal case at the First Information Report stage is not a bar for issuance of passport.

3.In this view of the matter, the first respondent is directed to issue passport to the petitioner on the petition mentioned application subject to fulfillment of other formalities. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
