PRAYER :- for Bail in Crime No.18 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- This petition has been filed by the petitioner/ accused no.3 seeking bail for the alleged offence punishable under Section 397 of IPC.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 24.01.2020 at about 03.00 a.m when the defacto complainant was about to board bus, the petitioner herein along with two others attacked the defacto complainant with knife and snatched his cell phone.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has nothing to do with the alleged crime. He would submit that two other accused in this case were granted bail. He would further submit that the police has foisted this case for statistical purpose.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that there are 10 previous cases os similar nature pending against the petitioner, out of which in four cases the petitioner was acquitted. 5. Though other two accused were granted bail, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner due to the previous antecedent of the petitioner.
