ORDER
The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondents to revise the petitioner's pension from Rs.17,350/- to Rs.17,700/-, based on G.O.Ms.No.313 Finance ( Pay Cell ) Department dated 25.10.2017, Government of Tamil Nadu, based on the petitioner's application dated 20.01.2021.
2.The petitioner states that he is a pensioner and receiving pension from 2002 onwards.
3.The grievance of the writ petitioner is that the revision of pension granted by the Government is yet to be sanctioned to him. In https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P.(MD)No.4280 of 2022 this regard, an application submitted by the writ petitioner was forwarded by the second respondent for initiating appropriate action. However, till date no order has been passed. 4.This Court is of the considered opinion that the revision of pension as applicable to the writ petitioner is to be sanctioned by following the procedure as contemplated. The claim of the petitioner is to be verified with reference to the Government Orders in force and also with reference to the service and pension records of the writ petitioner.
5.This being the factum, the respondents are directed to look into the representation of the petitioner and take appropriate decision on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
