Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing respondents 1 to 3 to issue the street vendors identity card to the petitioner's members in accordance with the order of the Hon'ble Supreme Court as reported in 2014 (1) SCC 490 and the consequential legislation by the parliament in the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014 (Act 7 of 2014) (MA.IV), within a reasonable time stipulated by this Court. Heard the learned counsel on either side.
2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 27.09.2018 and 09.10.2018 would be disposed of on merits and in accordance with the statutory provisions set out in the Street https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Vendors(Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act 2014. Appropriate orders in this regard will be passed within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
3. Recording the said submission, the Writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petitions are closed.
