ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant patta to the extent of 2 acres of Government land in S.No.73/2, situated at Rengappanaickenpatti Village, Nilakottai Taluk, Dindigul District, by disposing the petitioner's representation dated 29.12.2025.
2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in possession and enjoyment of the subject property. It is further submitted that the petitioner made a representation dated 29.12.2025 to the respondents seeking issuance of Patta. However, despite receipt of the said representation, the respondents have neither considered the same nor passed any orders thereon so far. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed.
4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5. Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 29.12.2025, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law after providing reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and any other persons, who may be affected by such decision, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
