O R D E R

The Contempt Petition has been filed to initiate the contempt proceeding against the contemnor/first respondent for his willful disobedience of the order dated 01.10.2024 made in Crl.O.P.(MD)No. 16316 of 2024 by this Court and to punish him in accordance with law.

2. It is evident from the records that this Court, while admitting the criminal original petition, has directed the respondent police not to file final report till 23.10.2024.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the contemnor would submit that the concerned police, after enquiry, has filed the final report on 06.01.2025. Admittedly, interim order was not extended.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that though the criminal original petition was listed in the cause list on 19.12.2024, the same was not reached. But the fact remains that interim order has not been extended by this Court.

5. Since the interim order was not extended, the action of the contemnor in filing the final report cannot be found fault with. Hence, this Contempt Petition stands closed.
