Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 4 and the learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 5 to 7.
2. The prayer in the writ petition cannot be granted. This is because the petitioner wants this Court to direct the respondents to enforce the decision taken in the peace committee meeting held on 25.08.2022. I have consistently held that such decisions have no statutory value. A person breaching the same cannot be visited with any penal consequence. There is no provision of law under which the peace committee meeting is convened. The relief sought for cannot be granted. The petitioner has to 2/4

3. With this liberty to the petitioner, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
