ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.07.2025 and update the revenue entries in respect of the petitioner's lands in the online website and issue computerized Patta and Chitta to the petitioner in respect of his lands comprised in Survey Nos.67/1, 67/2, 67/3 and 81, situated at Sooriyur Village, Tiruchirappalli District.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the absolute owner and is in lawful possession and enjoyment of the lands comprised in Survey Nos.67/1, 67/2, 67/3 and 81, situated at Sooriyur Village, Tiruchirappalli District. The petitioner submitted a detailed representation dated 14.07.2025 to the respondents, requesting them to update the revenue records in the online website in respect of the above said lands and to issue computerized Patta and Chitta in his favour. It is submitted that, despite receipt of the said

representation, the respondents have not considered the same nor taken any steps to update the revenue entries and issue the computerized Patta and Chitta to the petitioner. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.07.2025, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law after providing reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and any other persons, who may be affected by such decision, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
