ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioners, who are arrayed as accused Nos.5 and 6 apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 498(A), 506(ii) of I.P.C., and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Dowry Prohibition Act in Crime No.8 of 2015 on the file of the respondent police and hence, seek anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the accused had demanded dowry of Rs.5 lakhs from the de-facto complainant and also harassed her.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the first accused, who is the husband of the de-facto complainant has filed Cr.M.P.No.840 of 2015 before the Sessions Court, Dindigul and the case was referred to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre for settlement and the Mediation is going on. It is further submitted that the accused 2 to 4, 7 and 9 were already granted anticipatory bail.

4. Heard the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side).

5. Considering the fact that the petitioners are only in-laws and they are living separately, this Court is inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners with certain conditions. Accordingly, the petitioners are ordered to be released on bail in the event of arrest or on their appearance before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Vedasanthur and on each of them executing a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Magistrate concerned and on further condition that the petitioners shall appear before the respondent police as and when required. The petitioners shall comply with the condition stipulated under Section 438 Cr.P.C. scrupulously.

6. The petitioners shall appear before the concerned Magistrate within a period of 15 days from the date on which the order copy made ready, failing which, the petition for anticipatory bail stands dismissed.
