ORDER

Seeking further time to complete the trial in S.C.NO.72 of 2013, on the file of the learned Sessions Judge, Sivagangai, the petition has been filed by the petitioner who is arrayed as an accused.

2. Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents.

3. The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the accused has undergone bye-pass surgery and in view of the non-compliance of the time limit granted by this Court on earlier occasion, there is a pressure to dispose of the case and by doing so, interest of justice would be affected.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) on instructions would submit that the examination of witnesses is over, except the crossexamination of the Investigating Officer.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, a direction is issued to the learned Sessions Judge, Sivagangai to complete the trial and dispose of the case in S.C.No.72 of 2013, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that the petitioner will have to co-operate with the conduct of the case and no further extention of time will be granted.

6. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above directions.
