ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to survey the petitioner's land and fix the boundaries, in Patta No.1891, New Survey No.532/11, Old Survey No.532/5pa, situated at Saptur Village, Peraiyur Taluk, Madurai District, based on the petitioner's online application dated 29.01.2026, and consequently to provide an adequate police protection, within the stipulated time to be fixed by this Court.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. Since no adverse orders are going to be passed against the respondents 4 and 5, notice to the respondents 4 and 5 is hereby dispensed with.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the absolute owner of the subject property and is in peaceful possession and enjoyment of the same. It is further submitted that the petitioner made an application dated 29.01.2026 before the competent authority, seeking survey and fixation of boundaries in respect of the said property. Despite receipt of the said representation, no further effective steps have been taken by the authorities. Hence, the petitioner has been constrained to file the present Writ Petition seeking appropriate directions to enable the authorities to conduct the survey and fix the boundaries with adequate police protection.

5. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that proper steps would be taken to survey and demarcate the land in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.

Recording the aforesaid submission, this Court directs the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioner's application dated 29.01.2026 and demarcate the subject property, after considering the claims of the petitioner, the respondents 4 and 5 and any other rival parties, if any, and to pass orders in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to work out their remedies before the Civil Court.

7. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
