ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 2 and 3 to provide water connection to the house of the petitioner in Door No.110, Konapparayar Kulam Village, Manavasi, Renganathapuram (South), Krishnarayapuram & Taluk, Karur District in old No.513 (Natham new survey No.828/8 on the basis of payment of Rs.2600/- made by the petitioner on 03.03.2020 in receipt of No.27455 dated 03.03.2020.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner seeks water service connection to his house, however, the respondent refused the same. Hence, he filed the present writ petition. 2/5

3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the case of the petitioner will be considered by the respondents.

4. It is seen that drinking water is an essential to the people and it cannot be refused. Therefore, considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the matter, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.03.2020 on humanitarian ground and pass orders in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. This Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
